Golf Swing Basics - The Quickest Route To Lower Scores
Playing golf is a game that many people enjoy. While many enjoy playing it, not that many are actually good at it beacuse they ignore the golf swing basics that make playing so much more enjoyable.
Golf is a game of many parts and the main challenge is to become competent in all areas, especially the short game.
Hitting the driver might be the most difficult part of golf. For many golfers, its basically like rolling the dice. You’ve got a slim chance that you’re going to be able to hit the fairway.
The statistics are that for every three balls struck two of them will end up either in the woods or the water.
If you practice little but play often then and you have a bad temper then quite likely you will wrap your driver around the nearest tree after most drives.
You need to master the golf swing basics such as the following to produce a consistent drive on a regular basis.
A critical step to take is to make sure you are teeing the ball on a high tee. If you are using one of those deep headed drivers then this is especially important.
Many golfers tee the ball far too low wich often produces a hook or one of those annoying scuffed shots where the ball travels about 20 feet, just enough to reach the very long rough just in front of the tee.
Every beginner is familiar with the scuffed shots that bump just a few feet in front of them.
The next step in the golf swing tips is to move the ball forward in your stance. Many golfers will put the ball right in the middle of their legs, straight out in front of them.
Putting the ball in the middle of your stance stops you hitting the ball on the up.
As a driver has little loft you must try to hit the ball from the bottom to gain the necessary height.
The distance you are able to get on the ball will also increase over time with experience and as your swing improves.
Another area to pay attention to is that you are placing the clubface squarely to the ball.
If they did, there wouldn’t be nearly as many golfers hitting from the woods on their second shot.
Hold your club up squarely in front of you to check if the clubface is square to the ball.
Take these golf swing tips into consideration the next time you hit the links. Hopefully with a little practice doing it the right way, you can start to shave strokes off of your game.
